GeoDataVison president, Len Suzio, announced the release of critical
CRA benchmark data today. "As a service to the banking community,
we are providing, free-of-charge, two important performance benchmarks
used to rate bank performance under CRA. The benchmark data include
the (1) proportion of lending in Assessment Area and (2) community development
lending reported by more than 2,100 lenders under CRA. The data are
contained in two separate reports detailing the activity of all reporting
lenders state-by-state for the entire country. With this data, lenders
have a valuable reference point to compare their performance to all
other lenders in the market. This is the same kind of tool used by regulatory
examiners when they rate a lender's CRA performance. Lenders can now
anticipate how examiners will view their CRA performance under these
two 'Lending Test' standards", said Suzio.
The reports will be posted on the GeoDataVison web site and can be accessed
by any lender and the public. Detailed benchmark data for other Lending
Test parameters can be found in loan market database reports on CDs
distributed and sold by GeoDataVision.
